What is a Parent Coach and How Can it Help Me?

“Mom! He took my toy!”

“I didn’t do it! She wasn’t playing with it anymore!!”

“Look, just give me one more minute, I promise I’ll turn off the TV then!” (1 hour later…)

“But I don’t want to pick up this stuff! I didn’t make the mess, why should I?”

Does any of this sound familiar?

If you are a parent, you have probably heard similar statements in your home. These kinds of statements can send us down the rabbit hole trying to find solutions. We read numerous books, listen to dozens of podcasts, and ask lots of questions to our communities for answers. And sometimes what we find can be overwhelming and conflicting!

You desire to have the tools you need to connect with your child, to not parent out of your anxiety or wounds from your past, even in the most difficult of interactions but you feel lost. You know there is a better way, but you are stumbling your way through it and trying to make it work…you just feel like you need some guidance along the way.

What difference would it make to have someone to talk to about these issues, someone who had extensive experience and training in the area, someone who was able to give sound advice and concrete action steps in the gentle connected parenting world? And let’s say this person had lots of experience parenting multiple children, and in that mix there were multiple differences and issues such as:

-ADHD

-Anxiety

-Developmental Delays

-Autism

-Sensory Processing

-Giftedness

-Learning challenges

-Adoption trauma

What if that person led you through a framework that started repairing and building a foundation of long lasting relationships with your children?

That’s what I do. I’m a certified parenting coach through Connected Families and I love helping parents nourish the bonds with their children and teens, and as a result watching the difficult behaviors decrease.  I’m also a mom of 5 and have walked my own personal road of struggle. I have seen and experienced first hand what the power of empathy and connection can do to a seemingly damaged relationship, and I love coaching families through this process. I have seen families go from struggling to thriving. I have seen parents make significant progress. And I’m here to help you.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to share a virtual cup of coffee over zoom, get to know you, and let you know how I can help. You don’t have to wait to get help, book a free consult here.
